I made this image yesterday morning, 2/10/2023, along the river from where I live, most of the path is now totally overgrown. This little scene presented itself to me, quite evocative....with seasons changing, colder nights and damp leaf underfoot.

Autumn is taking it's time to arrive here in the UK, summer is not letting go easily, warm weather forecast in to next week at least.

I used my large format camera and Ilford Delta 100 film. The process of setting up is long which gives me time to take in the scene - I think of the family that would be jumping in the river, swinging on the swing laughing long into the summer nights.

This is an edition of 7 printed as a platinum print at 20x16 signed and stamped.
