A short trip to Java to shoot some portraits was disrupted by heavy rain! something I normally like but not this time.
I used for the first time in a while proper outdoor lighting. One Elinchrom flash Pro head with ELB400, which despite being weather proof would not have taken the amount of water that descended upon us.
These images are part of an on going project but take a slightly different direction from my normal work. I quite like it and will do more.
The last image is of my guide Eko. Taken in an abandoned building that we had visited days before, he was a little shocked by the graffiti and wanted me to photograph him in his traditional outfit to show that tradition is strong in Java.
The first image is a composition of two images. I have been testing and using the Affinity photo Ipad pro app to improve work flow whilst travelling - great results!
