I started my career as a sports photographer, but soon moved on into other areas. I still shot some sport and spent may years following my friend Damon Hill as he went on to win the F1 world championship. I was lucky I worked for one of the worlds top agencies ALLSPORT. I went on to cover many events all over the world but I would say that for any photographer to cover the Olympic Games and Paralympics in their home country is a very special thing to tick off the list. I worked for a Newspaper during both games which I hadn't done exclusively for many years.
The long days the even shorter nights, the travelling between venues gets harder and harder as one becomes more worn out, but the fun I had seeing old friends making new ones was wonderful. Plus watching close up some of the worlds best athletes competing at the highest level... well it doesn't get a lot better than that.
These images, all taken using Nikon cameras and lenses are converted to B/W. I haven't captioned them as I just like looking at them as they are.
